This company does a lot of the special effects makeup for doctor who.

Millennium FX is Europe’s leading supplier of cutting edge prosthetics, animatronics and special make-up FX for film, television, commercials, music promos, theatre and corporate projects.

I really like the eye makeup on this face.

 

But i like the lips and face makeup of this picture so i would join the two together and create a unigue look.

 

I would create a very pale face and create the black lines beside the mouth like this picture.

 



Task 7

Waterloo road is filmed right beside our college.
BBC One's award winning school drama series Waterloo Road has now relocated to the former Greenock Academy in Inverclyde. The move sees the former Greenock secondary become the new on-screen Waterloo Road school. In addition to using the former school classrooms on-screen, Shed will also use the rest of the Madiera Street premises as production base for the series.

Task 6.

What's on in theatres in Scotland right now?
Cinderella is on in the Kings theatre, and that is one of the choices the classes have to go to for our christmas pantomine.

Mathew Bourne's Sleeping Beauty is coming out in febuary 2013, the makeup in this looks like it would be very interesting.

Task 5

Burlesgue 2010

 

 

I really like the makeup that is done in the film burlesgue, Christina Agulaira's makeup goes threw many transformations. At the beginning of the film she has a natural makeup to play on the fact that she is the small town girl. Quote from Christina's makeup artist: Kristofer Buckle, describing the look she is given ;  "This is Ali Rose's off-stage look. I wanted Christina to look like a girl from Iowa, but one who reads magazines and has done her homework. The key to this look is her shiny coral blush. It gives her an air of vulnerability. Normally Christina really plays up her brows, but I wanted them to be light and secondary, so I filled them with Anastasia Perfect Brow Pencil in Ash Blond." 

At this part in the film Christina's character is trully gaining her confidence and that is shown in the way her makeup is done.
Her beauty mark is actually a Swarovski crystal !!
Quote from makeup artist;    "The music and choreography are so amazing that I felt the makeup had to be just as entertaining. This number is called 'Express' and it's when Ali is really starting to gain her footing at the theater. We just went there with fake upper and lower lashes, a black pewter eye and bright red lips. I wanted those lips to look like candy."
This basically is a makeup from a film that i absaloutly love !!

4. What is the most interesting thing you have learned or learned how to do so far?
The most interseting thing i've learned would have to be the special effects makeup.

My makeup idol is

6. Why do you want to be a MUA?
I like the fact that by using makup you can make anyone look beautiful, i believe that when you look good you feel good and by giving someone a makeover you are also giving them self confidence.
